ONE of the world's leading wildlife artists and conservationists delivered a fascinating video-illustrated lecture to a packed audience.
Eloquent and vivacious, charismatic and charming, David Shepherd is knowledgeable and passionate about endangered species, particularly tigers, rhinos and elephants. He also paints them - magnificently.
In addition, he paints steam engines (he owns three and founded the East Somerset Railway) planes, buildings, forests, people and cornfields - all of which were on display.
Utilising his stunning pictures, he condemned "the rape of our fragile earth" by everyone from ivory poachers to super-tanker oil polluters. A thought-provoking evening.
