Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger's injury crisis seems to be easing ahead of his side's trip to St Mary's tomorrow with the news that Dennis Bergkamp should be fit.
Bergkamp injured his ribs in the Gunners 3-0 win over Spurs last weekend but has been given the all clear after an X-ray.
The best news for Wenger (pictured above) is it isn't just Bergkamp who looks likely to be fit. The Frenchman said: "Not everyone is back from international duty yet but there are no major knocks.
"The good news is that David Seaman is fit after a groin injury, and Freddie Ljungberg has a chance to play.
"Edu is also fit again and will be contesting for a place in the team tomorrow. He looks alright, but Lauren is definitely out with an ankle problem.
"Martin Keown is back in full training and Ray Parlour will be back in full training on Monday."
Bergkamp added: "The ribs are still pretty sore and I've had to miss a couple of training sessions but hopefully everything will be fine for the weekend and I'll be in contention against Southampton."
Midfielder Freddie Ljung-berg missed Sweden's friendly against Slovakia with a knee injury sustained when Tottenham's Ledley King stood on him - another flashpoint to have emerged after the game - and is a bigger doubt for the Saints clash, although he may still make it in time.
But Wenger is virtually resigned to resting Brazil midfielder Gilberto Silva after the world champions insisted on him playing in a friendly in South Kor- ea - 13 hours flying time away from London.
French striker Thierry Henry has urged his Arsenal teammates to follow-up last week's win over Spurs by beating Saints tomorrow.
He said: "To do well at Spurs and then not at Southampton means the win means nothing - we have got to win every game we can.
"The win over Spurs was very special for the team and the fans.
"But, as I said, it means nothing if we don't win again - so we want to do that at Southampton."
