The interactive light sculpture created by Peter Freeman for Year Three of the Winchester Light Art Project will be launched on Thursday (Nov 28th) at 6.30pm in the grounds of Winchester Cathedral.
Peter Freeman has created an interactive light column, Luminous Motion and it is one of the first artworks in the country that can be influenced by text messaging.
Five metres (16 feet) tall, the three-sided column of stainless steel is studded with small and intense fibre-optic lights that are highly visible during the day and at night.
The colour and animation of the lights can be altered according to text messages sent by members of the public
