ANDOVER MP Sir George Young has officially opened a new arts and crafts club aimed principally at older or disabled people.
Age Concern Andover and Club Hampshire have joined forces to launch a club for those who want to sketch, paint and learn handicrafts.
"There is a lot of latent talent in and around Andover and this new club will help it develop," said Sir George.
The club will meet on a fortnightly basis in Warner Court, off Junction Road in Andover.
Artists David Smith and Brenda Parker will provide the tuition.
About 20 people turned up for the first session.
Club Hampshire can provide transport for those who have difficulty in getting to Warner Court.
Further details can be obtained from Brian Page (telephone 01264 332512).
