If you're looking to become a professional football player at some point in the future, but are wanting to play for a local team in the meantime - look no further, because I've found the club for you.

Winsor: breeding ground of the stars!

It is at this New Forest club where

illustrious names such as Saints legend Franny Benali, and Darren Anderton, formerly of England, started their

footballing exploits as young boys, playing their way up through the age groups, before going on to bigger and better things.

And don't forget former Southampton goal-getter and, lately, nemesis, Paul Rideout. It was at Winsor where he learnt how to score heart-breaking hat-tricks against the club that used to pay his wage.

But don't let that detract you from the issue in hand, here, Saints fans. The point I am trying to make is that Winsor is a very tidy, well-run, organisation.

You only have to look at their new training deal to deduce that. Andy Southwick's under-11s have recently started on a new coaching system, which sees them come into Southampton Sports Centre once a week for high-quality technical training, and the boss himself is delighted with the way things are going with it so far.

"It's great to have a regular spot with a good standard of coaching," he said. "The boys are now in a much more professional set-up; a real footballing environment, and you can see it in the improvements they have made. They are starting to believe in themselves a lot more now than before."

It may be suggested, though, that

any team from Winsor doesn't actually need this extra training. After all, the club has lost a number of players to the Bournemouth and Southampton Academies in recent years, and has had more players turn professional than just the big names listed above.

With a history this impressive, who needs more training?!
