ICE SKATING sisters Samantha, Annabel and Jessica Colenutt were celebrating recently after passing National Ice Skating Assocaition tests.
Samantha, 11, who attends Robert May's School in Odiham, started skating in the Saturday morning classes when she was just five.
She passed the Inter Bronze field moves and Level 3 elements and free tests. Her sisters Annabel, 10, and Jessica, eight, pupils at St Mark's Junior School in Hook, are eager to follow her example and soon all three will be involved in competitions and shows.
Annabel has also just passed Inter Bronze field moves and Level 3 elements and free tests, while Jessica was successful in Prelim field moves and Level 2 elements and free.
Samantha qualified for the British Solo Dance Championships earlier this year, while Annabel won five gold medals, two silvers and one bronze in free skating competitions, and Jessica picked up three bronze medals - including one at the Basingstoke Opens.
The trio are currently training with Michael Jaye at the Planet Ice Arena as they prepare for this year's Christmas pantomime on ice, The Enchanted Garden, on December 28 and 29.
Group skating lessons, incorporating the new NISA Skate UK scheme, are held on Saturday mornings.
