BALLET classic The Nutcracker is already overrun with mice - including, most notoriously of all, its chief baddie, the Mouse King.
But another, far friendlier mouse will be joining the English National Ballet at The Mayflower this week as a special treat for younger theatregoers.
Angelina Ballerina - star of the popular ITV children's series of the same name - will be taking to the stage before matinee performances of the ever-popular Tchaikovsky ballet to introduce the magical story to children.
The initiative by HIT Entertainment, the company behind Angelina Ballerina, is designed to make ballet more accessible to modern children.
