Bjorn Again, Southampton Guildhall
FROM corny jokes to terrible Scandinavian accents - not to mention an Abba hit or two - the fun never stopped in the Guildhall concert hall with this performance from the world's best-known Abba tribute act.
Waterloo thawed the initially uninterested-looking crowd and by the interval everybody in the hall was swaying like the disco divas of the Seventies.
"Benny" and "Bjorn" later gave the show an unexpected twist with a couple of rock numbers, including Bon Jovi's Living On A Prayer.
It was hard to believe this homely act had performed more than 2,400 shows in 45 countries.
But by the end even the most rigid of dancers had defrosted to enjoy a little pseudo-Swedish magic.
