BIG band fans will think they are dreaming at the Concorde Club on Monday.
Not just one but three big bands will be performing on the same night - the first time such a spectacle has been witnessed in Southampton since the beginning of the rock era.
And it's all in a good cause too. The Southampton and Mid-Hampshire branch of the Musicians' Union has organised the night for the benefit of its older members.
The event starts on the main stage with Jim Hames' Big Band, featuring singer Jill Langford, followed by the Arthur Ward Jazz Orchestra, again featuring Jill Langford, and, last but not least, trumpeter Norman Sibley's Solent Big Band.
Support comes in the shape of Acoustic Jass, Jazz Gitane and Paul McKenna and the Dave Cox Quartet.
Concorde Club, Eastleigh , November 11.Performance: 7.30pm. Tickets: £7.50. Box office: 023 8061 3989.
