MARK King doesn't have too far to come for his gig at Portsmouth Guildhall on November 9.
In fact, the Level 42 front-man only has to pop on the Isle of Wight ferry.
Mark lives quietly with his family at Sandown on the Island.
He was thought to have given up his life on the road but is now dusting off his bass guitar for one final tour.
Level 42 are coming to Portsmouth as part their UK Greatest Hits tour - and what a lot of hits they've had.
They were one of the most popular home grown bands of the Eighties and early Nineties, with a string of hit singles including Lessons In Love, Running In The Family, To Be With You Again, Something About You, The Sun Goes Down and It's Over to their name.
However, despite clocking up some 20 top 40 hits, they never managed to get a number one.
They made their live comeback at last year's Reading Festival and have already played a stunning date at Bournemouth on this tour.
Portsmouth Guildhall, November 9. Tickets: from £18. Box office: 023 9282 4355.
