SATURDAY'S rain may have left a wet road surface but it did not prevent there being ideal running conditions and a record run in Sunday's Lordshill ten-mile road race.
It was a bright, sunny day with very little wind and Andy Morgan-Lee of Salford Harriers made the most of it by breaking the course record cutting the prevous top time of 51.17 to 51.12.
First woman home was Amy Stiles of Westbury Harriers who came in just under the hour at 59.51.
There were a total of 299 finishers - many coming in with very respectable times.
Race director Terry Prynn was delighted with the results, particularly as the event was chosen as a Hampshire Road Race League race as well as the Hampshire County 10-mile championship race.
