IT'S his favourite salad dressing but there was only one place he could find it - his local pub.
Blue cheese dressing addict Stephen Suter scoured supermarkets in vain for his favourite culinary delight.
But still he could only find the creamy and not too vinegary dressing at The Buccaneer Harvester in The Avenue, Fareham.
Now after his fruitless search the 44-year-old civil servant has a smile on his face for he has five litres of the stuff in his fridge, courtesy of Harvester.
The restaurant chain presented the industrial-sized tub after Stephen sent an e-mail to the company asking to be put in touch with the supplier of the tasty recipe.
Now delighted Stephen and wife Shelagh , of Malvern Avenue, Fareham, are finding new uses for the sauce such as serving it up in baked potatoes.
He said: "I like salad and blue cheese dressing but I find all the ones in the shops have too much vinegar. We are now looking for jam jars to decant the stuff. It's lovely because it's quite creamy. I don't think I will ever get sick of it."
Harvester manager Graham Jacobs was happy to help Stephen's quest, adding:"It's always great to find out what we serve up is going down a treat with customers."
