Annie Nightingale, The Fishtank, South Parade Pier, Portsmouth
GLOW-stick lovers united to celebrate quintessential dance music from Annie Nightingale.
With Annie headlining, the Who's the Boss two-room event pulled in the crowds.
After paying £14 on the door clubbers, both young and not so young, were stirred into a frenzy by warm-up DJs Ed Real and Billy "Daniel" Bunter.
When the headline act finally came just after 12.30am the dance momentum had already built up.
One of the UK's first female radio jocks, Annie Nightingale showed why she is regarded as the mother of dance music.
For just over an hour, the 58-year-old Radio 1 DJ left dance fans fulfilled with her ambient house beats and stirring rhythms.
Unfortunately the setting did not quite fit with the headline aura. More Peter Kay's Phoenix Nights than Cream.
