A BIT of Scotland comes south this week with a performance by two of the country's best-loved traditional musicians.
Aly Bain is regarded as Scotland's supreme traditional fiddler. He helped to form the renowned band Boys from the Lough and has performed and recorded with them ever since.
Cunningham is equally respected in folk circles, and even made it into The Scotland's top 25 of most influential people.
This concert is the first of three at the Turner Sims showcasing the traditional music from around the British Isles. Look out for English Roots on December 3 and North Cregg on January 28.
Turner Sims Concert Hall, Southampton, November 7. Performance: 8pm. Tickets: £12. Box office: 023 8059 5151.
