Winchester Cathedral will prove to be a venue fit for a king - well, a duke anyway - this week. His Royal Highness the Duke of Kent will be representing the Queen at a special concert in aid of the Army Benevolent Fund and SSAFA Forces Help.
The concert is being held in honour of the Queen's Golden Jubilee and it takes place in the run-up to Remembrance Day.
A specially chosen programme of music will be performed by The Band and Bugles of the Light Division, The Band of the Adjutant General's Corps, The Pipers of the Scots Guard and the cathedral choir and organ.
Proceeds will go to the charities, both of which have the Queen as patron.
Winchester Cathedral, November 6. Tickets from £10. Box office: 01962 877977.
