A Hampshire nurse has received a top honour from St John Ambulance.
Patricia Morris (53), from Alresford, was invested as a member of the Order of St John at a ceremony in the historic Grand Priory Church, Clerkenwell.
She was admitted as a "serving sister" and presented with the insignia by the prior of the order, Lord Slynn of Hadley.
Mrs Morris says she has been a volunteer for St John Ambulance "off and on" since she was 11. A lecturer at Portsmouth University, she has been to Pakistan twice to teach first aid with St John Ambulance
