ART lovers will get the chance to see more of Thomas Rowlandson's "Travels with a Sketchbook" when part two of the exhibition opens in Newport on November 2.
Part one of the exhibition of watercolour sketches of the Island, which were completed by Rowlandson in the 1790s, were taken down from display at the Museum of Island History at Newport Guildhall yesterday.
They will not go on public display again for at least a year.
The gallery will be closed until part two opens in November. A discount season ticket for all four Rowlandson exhibitions is available priced £3.50 for adults and concessions £2 - an ideal Christmas present for the artist or historian in the family.
The museum is open from Monday to Saturday 10am to 5pm and Sunday 11am to 3.30pm.
