BRITAIN'S largest photographic chain Jessops, which has ten major shops in the south, has a new owner after a £116m buyout.
Dutch bank ABN Amro is snapping up the Leicester-based retailer from its rival Bridgepoint Capital.
The deal is believed to land Jessops chairman Tim Brookes a near-£5m windfall.
Jessops, founded in 1935, now runs 238 stores.
It has a flagship store at Hedge End, along with two shops in Southampton, two in Basingstoke, and others at Fareham, Newport, Chichester, Salisbury and Bournemouth.
