SOUTHAMPTON consulting engineer Gifford and Partners and Charter Architects have joined forces too provide naval training solutions company Flagship Training with an integrated multi-disciplinary design service under a ten-year agreement.
Hampshire-based Flagship Training has been awarded Defence Estates approval as a prime contractor for delivery of construction and property management services to the Naval Recruiting and Training Agency at six of the Royal Navy's training establishments in the south and south- west.
Gifford and Charter Architects have been awarded a contract to provide Flagship with a complete design capability, working alongside Flagship's construction partner, Mansell.
Gifford director Andrew Pettifer said: "The relationship with Flagship represents a major milestone in the development of our long-standing status as a supplier of services to the defence sector. It provides an excellent opportunity to demonstrate the advantages of a multi-disciplinary design approach.''
