POLICE are investigating an alleged attack on an 18-year-old girl in Hampshire.
The girl, who has not been named, was assaulted in the Butts Ash Area, near Dibden Purlieu, between 9pm and 9.20pm on Thursday, October 24.
While walking down Waterman's Lane, the girl noticed a man standing on the corner of Waterman's Lane and Crete Lane.
As she continued on her route home from her boyfriend's house, it is believed the same male overtook her in Arnewood Avenue before disappearing.
On nearing the junction of Arnewood Avenue and Butts Ash Lane a man jumped out in front of her and grabbed her arm before trying to drag her into nearby bushes.
The girl managed to punch her attacker and escape.
Police are keen to speak to a man seen standing opposite the Gleneagles Pub, in Butts Ash Lane.
He is described as white, with dark coloured hair of average height and a slim build. He was wearing dark coloured sports clothing or tracksuit.
