Saints youth academy teams came out on top at Coventry yesterday afternoon.
They both scored impressive victories in difficult conditions.
The Under-19s played against a swirling wind in the first half but produced some excellent football to go in 3-0 up at half time.
Jay Lucas scored the first with a brave header and Eddie Odihambo hit the second following good work in the box by Mike Williamson.
Saints added the third just before half time when Andrew Surman latched onto an Arron Davies through ball.
The Sky Blues pulled a goal back in the 70th minute after Saints failed to clear a cross. But Odihambo ensured Saints' victory with five minutes left after Surman's shot was blocked.
Academy director Huw Jennings praised the whole team for a strong performance - particularly ex-Torquay defender Williamson, midfielder Jamie Gleeson and the strike partnership of Shea Saunders and Jay Lucas.
Aaron Davies nearly stole the show, however, when a wind-assisted effort from 15 yards inside his own half went just over.
The Under-17s kept their first clean sheet of the season as they disposed of their Coventry counterparts 3-0.
Taking advantage of the favourable wind in the first half, Saints cruised into a three-goal lead with the first from trialist Kyle Kritchell.
Central midfielder Stuart Anderson then added two more; the second a glorious chip.
In the second half Saints battled hard against a strong wind to keep goalkeeper Micheal Poke largely untroubled.
