A MAN wanted in connection with a violent killing in Denmark is believed to be on the run in the UK - and he has links to Hampshire.

Police are keen to question Reginald Roy Blythin, 54, following the shooting of a man found floating in a harbour in Hou in January with his throat cut. Blythin has contacts in Hampshire and Chester and is thought to keep two small dogs. He is white, slim, short-haired, and about 5ft 11in.

Blythin is among six foreign fugitives thought to be living in the UK, including a former German government minister wanted for allegedly selling 36 army tanks for a bribe of more than £1m.

Dr Ludwing Hulger Pfhals, 59, was said to have sold the tanks for around 3.8 million Deutschmarks in 1990.

Pfhals, who was Under-Secretary of State in the German Federal Ministry of Defence at the time, is wanted by German police. Authorities believe he could be living anywhere in the UK and possibly using a false name.

Lisa Marie Smith, 26, an Australian, is wanted by Thai police on cannabis and amphetamine smuggling charges. After being stopped at Bangkok airport she was released on £75,000 bail and left the country. She is blonde and 5ft 5in and known to travel between the UK, Australia, and the Republic of Ireland.

Mohamed Abdi Gulad, 21, is one of four on the list wanted for murder. He allegedly beat and stabbed to death a man in Toronto, Canada, in February 2000. He is black, about 5ft 10in, and has recently been seen in the Deptford and Woolwich areas of London.

Gentian Take, 27, also known as Arben Gashi, was convicted in his absence of murder in Albania. He was sentenced to life imprisonment after shooting two men in April 1999, one of whom died from his injuries. He arrived in the UK four months after the incident and is known to visit Essex and north London. He is white and 5ft 9in.

Ivor Tom Price Davies, 37, is wanted in Canada after allegedly crashing into a car while over the drink-drive limit, causing the death of the other driver. Davies has family links with Kent and the west country and has white and 6ft.

Detective Inspector Nigel Verrill urged anyone who might be able to help trace these fugitives to contact the Extradition and International Assistance Unit on 020 7230 3191.
