AFTER two years of hard work, Shepherds Spring Pre-School Playgroup has finally managed to buy a computer through the Tesco 'computer for schools' voucher scheme.
The Cricketers Way playgroup has taken delivery of the new system, which replaces one of the old computers given to the playgroup many years ago.
Manager Audrey Wilson said: "It's taken two years of hard work by parents and staff to get enough vouchers for a computer.
"We're quite a small playgroup so it takes such a long time to get enough.
"We really need to start saving again now as it'll probably take us another two years before we get enough for another computer," she added.
The youngsters at the playgroup have already started using the new equipment and both the staff and the children are really pleased with the new technology available.
"At this age the children learn to control the mouse," Audrey said.
"It really is amazing how many children have got computers at home and are pretty bright already when it comes to knowing what to do."
