ANDOVER schoolgirl Natasha Rolls (pictured) is the latest to win a coveted place at Saints School of Excellence after taking part in a trial involving more than 200 girls.
A pupil at the Harrow Way School, 11-year-old Natasha has been playing competitive football since the age of eight.
Last year she played for the Woody's under-11's side in the PHYL and also Hatherden Under-11's in the HSAYL as well as the Portway Primary School.
It was while playing for Hatherden that their coach Sean Norris recommended Natasha, nicknamed Tash, to Sue Lopez, the director of Saints girls school of excellece.
Natasha was invited for a trial along with 200 other girls of varying ages at one of Saints' open days and was one of the 30 girls chosen in her age group for a further month's trial at the school of excellence.
After the series of Monday night training sessions she was finally selected for the final squad of 16 and since then has played for the Saints team that beat Reading 6-0 and Brighton 7-0, and further games include those against the like of Arsenal, Chelsea and Fulham. "She is relishing the challenge," said her proud dad Robin.
