HALLOWE'EN hilarity is on offer all over Hampshire this half term.

Museums around the county have organised innovative activity days for all the family.

Wannabe witches can mix potions and build broomsticks at The Witches Brew on Thursday October 31 at Queen Elizabeth Country Park.

Wildlife experts will help you build a bat box on the same day as well as Tuesday, October 29.

Budding artists can attend professionally run drawing workshops at 11 different museums on Saturday, October 26.

Or they can take a spooky train ride at Royal Victoria County Park's Railway Hallowe'en Special on the same day.

Fireworks will illuminate the beautiful grounds in Netley the following Saturday, November 2.

Two mysterious ladies will tell Hampshire ghost stories round a Romany campfire at Milestones museum in Basingstoke on Thursday, October 31.

Textile fans can paint silk Christmas cards at Andover's Whitchurch Silk Mill from October 29 to November 1.

A Chinese fashion, design and architecture exhibition takes place until November 1 at Eastleigh museum with a Chinese theme craft activity day on October 31.

John Waddington, the county council's executive member for recreation and heritage, said: "We hope that people take this opportunity to relax, have some fun and come along to some of these rather unusual and innovative events."
