A PROJECT funding the making of short films wants to hear from aspiring film-makers in Hampshire.
First Light provides funding for organisations to help young people aged seven to 18 produce a range of short films including dramas, comedies and documentaries.
Since the scheme started last year, more than 200 films have been made by 3,500 children and teenagers across the UK - but few wannabe filmmakers in Hampshire have come forward.
Catherine O'Shea, director of First Light, said: "There must be many talented and creative young people in the area who would relish the opportunity of making their own short film.
"We can help them with funding and provide mentors with professional film experience to work alongside them on the production." Successful projects so far have included animation films mixing fantasy and reality and dramas exploring bullying, drugs and teenage pregnancy.
First Light grants of up to £5,000 are available for one film and £36,000 for up to six films.
Applications can be made online at www.firstlightmovies.com or by calling 07807 703245.
