A TEENAGER who threw a brick through a police car window and then punched an officer has been arrested on the Isle of Wight.
Ryde Police were astonished to hear the sound of glass breaking in the car park of the town's police station just after midnight on Sunday morning.
They gave chase to a 16-year-old boy, but when they caught up with him he punched a male officer in the chest. The teenager, from Bembridge on the island, was detained in custody.
The Ryde officer was not injured and remained on duty.
