PUPILS from six Southampton schools did their bit to stamp out racism in a five-a-side tournament.

The competition was organised as part of the national Let's Kick Racism Out of Football campaign by Southampton's Racism Just Ain't Saintly group.

Bitterne Manor Junior School won the Year 4 final and St Mark's School from Shirley won the combined years 5 and 6 match.

St Mary's Junior and Mount Pleasant Junior were given Fair Play Awards. St Denys School and Hollybrook Junior also played.

After the games Councillor Perry MacMillan spoke to the youngsters about the need to stamp out racism on and off the pitch.
