Totton marched into the FA Vase second round draw with a storming 5-1 success at Kent League VCD Athletic.
"I'm well pleased," purred Totton boss Ian Robinson. "The lads have shown good character after spending three hours stuck on a coach and then falling behind early in the game."
The home side's 12th-minute lead was wiped out on 34 minutes when Patrick James rapped in a spot-kick following a handball in the VCD area and, five minutes later, Totton moved ahead when Martin Whiddett lobbed the 'keeper.
Pete Clark's left-wing run ended with Ollie Shaw flicking the ball in at the near post for their third, Scott Bundy added a fourth from David Egerton's long, looping cross and a 25-yard blockbuster from James completed a comprehensive 5-1 scoreline.
the extra-time period and were rewarded when Robert Lynn stroked home a penalty kick following an off-the-ball incident which left the home team with nine men.
Brockenhurst boss Pete Moore was also happy after watching his team travel to Sussex and topple Hailsham 2-1 in extra-time. "We've played better but we got the result and that's the important thing. We still have a lot of players out and you can only play with what you've got," said Moore.
A good finish by Asoma Asuda gave Brock an interval lead which they held until ten minutes from time when the Sussex side levelled from a free-kick. But the Badgers dominated the extra-time period and were rewarded when Robert Lynn stroked home a penalty kick following an off-the-ball incident which left the home team with nine men.
BAT's Richie Gregory must be the unluckiest man of the day - he scored a hat-trick to put his team 3-1 up at Combined Counties League Cobham only to watch in horror as the home club netted four times in the last half hour to win 5-3.
BAT boss Andy Leader fumed: "The team have let Micky and I down and they have let themselves down. At 3-1 up we should have shut up shop but we've been very unprofessional and defensively we were awful.
"It very disappointing after going nine games unbeaten and it's almost as though it's been going too well recently. This game does have a funny habit of kicking you in the teeth," he sighed.
