theatre-GOERS in Winchester next week could be forgiven for thinking they had wandered into a cinema by accident.
A new play being staged at the Theatre Royal will attempt to recreate the experience of a film, complete with a soundtrack and "letterbox" format, live on stage.
Peepshow, being performed by Frantic Assembly in collaboration with cutting-edge pop group Lamb, puts seven modern urban lives under the microscope.
With the help of Lamb's modern music, the audience is enticed into viewing flashes of the lives and secrets of the inhabitants of an inner city tower block.
Renowned for their physical theatre, this is Frantic Assembly's most ambitious project to date. Previous tours include Heavenly and Tiny Dynamite.
Lamb, who have provided songs from their back catalogue for the show, have a reputation as pioneering musical artists. Their third album, What Sound, was released last year.
You can see Peepshow from October 21 - 23. For information, call the box office on 01962 840440.

The Daily Echo has a Lamb CD, T-shirt and a pair of tickets for Tuesday night's performance to give away.
