The family of a Winchester woman missing for 10 days have expressed their relief after she was found in Paris.
Michelle Cottee (36), who has lived in the city for two years, went missing from Winchester's Melbury Lodge psychiatric unit on October 5th.
But on Tuesday, she walked into the British Consulate in Paris and plans are now under way to return her home.
Her brother, Steven Cottee, from Petersfield said: "We are obviously very glad that she did something to get in touch, and very relieved."
During her absence, Michelle, who is also known as Jasmine Monroe, sent a postcard to her aunt from Bournemouth. It is not known how long she spent in France.
Steven described his sister as a "free spirit" and said that she had tried to travel to France before.
