Organisations will be able to learn about opportunities for funding and support at workshops being held by Winchester City Council.
They will cover topics such as private sector funding, Winchester Area Community Action's Fundfinder system, Awards for All, how to make a good lottery application and European social funding local authority grants.
"Finding funds is supposed to be easy," said the city council's director of community services, Steve Tilbury.
"But it can be a minefield if you don't know what's on offer and where to look. Applying to the major lottery distributors, for instance, can be complex and a long, drawn-out process.
"We hope this will help people understand the rules of the game before they start playing," he added. The funding day and workshops will be at the Guildhall on Wednesday, November 6th. For more information, ring Sharon Armstrong-Williams at the city council on 01962-848537.
