Peter Harrison's British America's Cup team, skippered by Ian Walker, won three out of their four last races in the first round of the Louis Vuitton Challenger series, moving up the rankings from seventh to fourth position.

This places them just behind the favourites One World, Alinghi and Oracle BMW after the first round robin. Their most impressive win had to be against the highly fancied Oracle BMW where they finished with a 25 second lead - a victory by a smaller team over one of the three big budget syndicates.

The Louis Vuitton Challenger Series decides who will take on New Zealand, the defenders. Round robin 2 begins on Tuesday (Oct 22nd) and at the end of this phase of racing, one boat will be eliminated from the competition before the quarter-finals begin in November.
