BOND fans will be shaken and stirred next month at the Daily Echo's regional premier of Die Another Day.

The event is being held at Southampton's LeisureWorld to raise funds for Southampton-based charity Leukaemia Busters.

The charity's mission is to conduct research into and to develop better and safer treatments for leukaemia and related conditions.

"We've raised up to £10,000 through similar events to this one and we're hoping to do the same," said David Flavell, one of the co-founders of Leukaemia Busters.

"The Daily Echo's involvement is very important. Without the effort the Echo puts in, such an event would be much less successful.

"The Odeon, Leisure-World has also been very supportive for many years and the kindness and generosity of the management have ensured success for the charity."

The film itself sees 007 played by Pierce Brosnan team up with Halle Berry to save the world from a disastrous war, masterminded - as ever - by international villains.

As well as seeing the film before anyone else, film fans will also be able to rub shoulders with celebrities and enjoy pre and post-screening parties.

There will be a Casino Royale-themed party beforehand, with complimentary champagne and the chance to win Bond merchandise at the casino tables.

There will also be a charity auction before the screening. Two signed England shirts, a signed Saints shirt, a beauty pampering day and a go-karting day are among the sale items.

After the screening there will be another themed party with entertainment, food and complimentary Bond-style vodka martinis.

Tickets for the premier go on sale today priced £20 each.
