WHEN you're running a busy theatre and booking hundreds of acts throughout the year, it's easy to see how things could go wrong.
The Nuffield Theatre has managed to book Rosalind Plowright, a world-class opera singer, and John Pohlhammer, a famous jazz singer on the same night.
Luckily it's not an accident - Two's a Crowd is stopping at the Nuffield Theatre for one night as part of a national tour.
Rosalind Plowright is considered to be one of the greatest British opera singers of her generation.
She has performed in virtually every opera house in the world and her forthcoming engagements are in Paris, Covent Garden and at the MET in New York.
John Pohlhammer is an accomplished singer, writer, director and musician.
He has worked with the likes of Debbie Reynolds, Whitney Houston and Joe Williams and is particularly well known for his four years with the Reduced Shakespeare Company as both an actor and an associate director.
The show gives both stars the chance to demonstrate their talents in their fields as well as their ability to entertain through comedy.
Nuffield Theatre, Southampton, October 20. Performance: 7.30pm. Tickets: £14. Box office: 023 8067 1771.
