ANDOVER'S Heidi Hymers is looking forward to a career as a 'red cap' soldier enforcing law and order all over the world.
Lance Corporal Hymers, who is 23, won the right to wear the striking red hat of the Royal Military Police after successfully completing a tough 21-week course which included long hours of study which had to be slotted in around demanding physical training.
"I joined the RMP because they offer specialised courses - I want to do close protection work," said Heidi, who worked for a fast food chain before joining the Army. "The career opportunities are great and our training is very intense and thorough."
