Andover Ladies 2nd XI 2
Romsey Ladies 3rd XI 2
Yet again, Andover Ladies 2nd XI were unable to field a full team for their away game at Romsey. With 8 players for the first half, Andover worked hard, putting relentless pressure on the Romsey defence.
This resulted in a penalty corner being awarded and Tiffany Fish scoring the first goal for Andover from an excellent slip from Carly Peebles.
Romsey were then stirred into action and scored the equalizing goal within 2 minutes of the half-time whistle.
Romsey regained the upperhand by scoring their second goal straightaway but the arrival of a ninth player, Anika Drage, minutes into the second half, lifted Andover spirits and the forwards again were unlucky not to score with an intense period of attacks on the Romsey goal.
Amy Crawford, Vicky Randall and Nicola Lloyd worked hard in defence and kept the Romsey forwards out of the goal area, giving them no chance to score a third goal.
Joelle Claridge showed great skill with her runs down the right wing and Romsey were constantly pulled up for their efforts in trying to stop her.
The Andover team spirit was rewarded 10 minutes from full time with the equalizing goal by Anika Drage and Andover were unlucky not to score again.
Andover Ladies XI 2nds: Vickress, Crawford, Randall, Lloyd, Peebles, Drage (K), Drage (A), Fish, Claridge (Capt.
