Quite how Gosport & Fareham did not secure victory well before captain Simon Burns' third try in three games at the death of their match at Sevenoaks is something of a mystery to all involved. However, win they did and they stay second behind Tunbridge Wells on the back of it.
Again with a scratch back division, Jonathan Wood and the outstanding Jamie Daly ensured their side ground out the result - Wood collecting 16 points with their first try and conversion, together with three penalties.
But they had to wait until five minutes from time before Burns smashed over in the corner to get the result.
