Amanda Hatto, of Alresford, will be abseiling for charity on Sunday down the sheer face of the Ordnance Survey building in Southampton.
Her sponsors have come from her local, the Horse & Groom, in Broad Street and from her employers, banknote printers De La Rue, in Basingstoke. She hopes to raise a four-figure sum for the Hampshire Association for the Care of the Blind.
The 29-year-old, who has been helping the Basingstoke branch with her IT skills, is no stranger to danger and has already done a solo parachute jump for charity.
Amanda will be among 150 abseilers taking part in the RNIB event. She is one of over 600 volunteers for HACB helping the 5,000 people with sight loss in the county.
