The Rotary Club of Alresford is already planning for Guy Fawkes Night.
November 5th is the organisation's biggest fund-raising event, when everybody has a lot of fun and cash is raised to help families in difficult circumstances.
The evening entertainment starts at 7pm with a torchlight procession down Broad Street, along West Street and into Arlebury Park.
"The bonfire is as big as a house and a substantial display of fireworks are professionally set off by the manufacturers," said Rotarian, Philip Ratcliff. "About 3,000 people attend - it's in the 'Alresford calendar', so to speak."
Rotarians will sell tickets door-to-door and they will be available at estate agents, Keats Marshall Bendall, in Broad Street. They will be cheaper if bought before November 5th.
While the Rotarians put a big effort into their Guy Fawkes evening, they are also engaged in fund-raising for charities throughout the year.
At the moment, Mr Ratcliff said, they were supporting concerted efforts to eliminate polio worldwide.
And through Rotary International, they supply aquaboxes - kits that enable people to ensure drinking water is clean - to Africa and wherever they are required to help people combat waterborne disease.
