Southampton Independent Supporters' Association are planning to hold a crisis meeting within the next fortnight to discuss the standing problem in the Northam Stand at St Mary's.
They will invite representatives of the police, the club, the Football Licensing Authority and the police to the meeting.
City councillor Perry McMillan has also offered to enter the Northam Stand during a game to try and explain the situation to fans.
McMillan is also planning to raise the issue this weekend in Birmingham at the inaugural national meeting of the Federation of Football Fans' Parliament.
He said: "The city council issue health and safety certificates and have the power to close the Northam Stand and fans need to realise how seriously this issue is being taken."
As well as Wayne Bridge, several other Saints players are on international duty in the coming week.
Tomorrow sees Antti Niemi's Finland play Azerbaijan, Claus Lundekvam's Norway against Romania, Michael and Anders Svensson for Sweden against Hungary and Marian Pahars and Imants Bleidelis in the Latvia squad against Poland.
On Wednesday, Rory Delap will be hoping to make the Ireland starting line-up against Switzerland, Paul Jones's Wales will take on Italy, Niemi and Finland play Yugoslavia and Lundekvam's Norway play Bosnia.
Alan Blayney and Chris Baird are also in the Northern Ireland under-21 squad to play Italy tonight.
The ticket office at St Mary's will be closed on the day of the England international next Wednesday, although tickets can still be bought by telephone or on email.
The ticket office is open again as normal next Thursday, October 17.
