HAVING your tarot cards read or a healing will be the dish of the day when a 'psychic caf' opens in Southampton today.

Allsorts Psychic Caf will open its doors in Carlton Place and on the menu will be tarot card readings, reiki, Indian head massage and spirit art.

The caf is the brainchild of Jenny and Kelvin Woodage, who also run Smiffy's clothes shop two shops away. The couple intend the caf to offer people the chance to have holistic therapies, a healing or have their future told while having a cup of herbal tea.

Kelvin, 43, a medium and healer from Netley Abbey, said: "We are going to have all sorts of healing such as reiki, Indian head massage and aromatherapy. We also plan to have a medium here as well as someone who can do tarot cards.

"We are only going to sell home made cakes and herbal teas and fruit juices and there will be a therapy room downstairs. Tarot cards can be done in the caf area.

"The menu we have on the table will be of the therapies that we have on offer that day and we plan to offer different things each day.

"I think that Southampton needs a caf like this. We want it to be relaxed and people can come in and just read a book if they want.

"It will be a great place for like-minded people to socialise and also it will give people who are nervous about trying these therapies the chance to have a taster session or to talk to the therapist.

"We plan to make the therapies affordable and all the therapists will be fully vetted. We believe that the caf will take off as these days people are so much more open-minded about things like this.

"We want to help people to improve their lifestyle and if anyone believes that they may have the gift of healing or mediumship they can come and chat to the experts here."
