A HAMPSHIRE mother whose four-and-a-half-year old son has been abducted by his Turkish father has vowed to get him back.
Tracey Cetin, 31, from Romsey, has already travelled to Turkey to try to secure the return of tug-of-love son Josh.
In a desperate move she tried to snatch him back. However, without a passport for her young son, she could not face trying to smuggle him out of the country and reluctantly the child was returned to his father.
She told the Daily Echo: "I miss Josh so much I was desperate to get him back and that's why on the spur of the moment I tried to snatch him back.
"But if I had been caught trying to smuggle him over the border, I could have faced 15 years in jail."
As it was, Tracey, a utilities saleswoman, was arrested when she tried to leave Turkey and held in a police cell for nearly ten hours.
She added: "An order banning me from leaving the country was drawn up after I took Josh - and they hadn't removed that even though Josh was back with his father.
"As I sat in that cell, all I kept thinking was: 'I could have been here for 15 years.' It was awful."
