Old boys were in evidence too for the Arrow Trophy run by the Royal Yacht Squadron last weekend, but on this occasion there was no minimum age requirement. Fifteen teams competed with former students representing twelve schools.
Five fleet races on Saturday saw the top four teams go through to the match racing on Sunday. Winchester College was well represented with two boats in the finals; Jez Tozer, Hamish Macnamara and Ross Bateson on board together again for the first time since their days in the school sailing team. However, in the event it was Bradfield who won from Charterhouse, although the two helms, Archie Massey and Doug Patterson are far more likely to be seen together, sailing their International 14 at Itchenor Sailing Club.
