CHARITY groups at New Milton teamed up to stage a bumper 15-hour Golden Jubilee Fiesta.
The fun, organised by the Lions Club, Rotary Club and Round Table, began at the recreation ground at 7.30am and ended 15 hours later with a fireworks spectacular at Fawcetts field at 10.30pm.
"We have had wonderful support from the town and its people, said event secretary John Evans.
One of the high spots was a climbing tower, where allcomers had the chance to scale an artificial rock face with the safety of ropes held by experts.
There were also skydivers, the Twirlstar Majorettes, martial arts experts and young BMX bike riders who, with their daredevil stunts, demonstrated what a wonderful asset the town's skate and BMX park is when it is used properly.
Dog owners from the Friendly Dog Club also put on a 'day in the life of a Jubilee dog' display and the wide range of other attractions included a Punch and Judy show, bouncy castle, bucking bronco, laser clay shoot and a giant slide.
A sponsored bike ride, bowls and tennis lessons, petanque and a guided Jubilee walk along the clifftops at Barton-on-Sea added to the fun.
