A RUNAWAY schoolgirl has been reunited with her family on the Isle of Wight two weeks after disappearing from her Southampton foster home.
As reported in later editions of yesterday's Daily Echo, Charlotte Sansom, 15 was found safe and well after police received information from a member of the public.
She was traced to a house in Leigh Park, Havant on Wednesday night and is back with her family in Ventnor, on the island.
Hampshire police spokeswoman Lucy Dibdin said: "We would like to take this opportunity to thank the media for their help in making appeals for information, which led directly to finding her."
Charlotte, known as Charlie, had vanished from her foster home in Bitterne Park on May 19 after spending just six days there.
She told her foster carers she was going to visit friends but never returned.
Police launched a high profile search for the teenager amid concerns she had been sleeping rough in Southampton city centre.
