HAMPSHIRE'S rugby's brightest young talents have the opportunity to shine at Twickenham tomorrow when they take their place in the Tetley's Under-20 County Championship Final against Cornwall.

Skipper Tom Allen's side, who have made outstanding progress in a short space of time - they did not even qualify from the group stages just 12 months ago - have produced some blistering displays on their way to the final.

They travel with a couple of injury worries despite manager Pete Allen naming the same 22-man squad that came from behind to defeat Cheshire in the semi-final at Trojans at the back end of April.

Winchester prop forward Stuart Moreton is the biggest worry of the three concerns. He was forced off after just five minutes in the semi-final with a shoulder tear and his recovery has been relatively slow. But he is chanced with Robert Skelton and club-mate Nick Bartelot on the replacements bench as cover.

Stand-off Peter Whitfield also has trouble with his shoulder, while former Havant flanker Ollie Mitchell's fractured hand has recovered sufficiently for him to take his place in the back row.

They are minor concerns for Allen who believes his side can continue in the rich vein of form they have shown so far.

He said: "We have trained every weekend since the semi-final and the lads are really focused now.

"All we have to do is remain so when we get to Twickenham."

Cornwall have had a similar passage through to the final, recording one tight and two comfortable pool successes but they had two desperately close games in the quarter and semi-finals, squeezing past Kent by a single point before defeating a powerful North Midlands side.
