HOW life has changed for Andy Chase since he and his brother were schoolboys staring into an Daily Echo photographer's camera at a Silver Jubilee street party in West End.
Now Andy, 33, is all grown up and he has posed for our camera again - and 25 years on he is the organiser of a Golden Jubilee road celebration for his own school going children to enjoy.
But tragically his brother Darren will be missing from this year's anniversary celebrations following his death from sudden adult death syndrome in 1999, aged 32.
However Darren's son, three-year-old James Chase, will join other family members to recreate some memories from a quarter of a century ago at a party in Birch Grove, Boyatt Wood, Eastleigh on Sunday.
Andy said: "I remember the West End party - they closed the whole road off and ran tables right up the middle of the High Street. We were not much older than James and my son two-year-old Samuel are at the moment. We thought it was great to sit in the middle of the road and have a picnic.
"This year we're going to have a party in Birch Grove, all of the neighbours are organising it. I hope the kids enjoy it as much as we did 25-years ago, we've got lots of activities organised and hopefully they will have as many fond memories as we had.
"I will definitely have a few moments to think about Darren on the day and remember the fun we had years ago."
Youngsters can indulge in apple dunking, tug of war and face painting.
