A RUNAWAY schoolgirl has been found safe and well two weeks after disappearing from her Southampton foster home.
Charlotte Sansom, 15, was traced to a house in Leigh Park, Havant, last night after police received information from a member of the public.
Hampshire police spokeswoman Lucy Dibdin said the teenager had now been reunited with her family in Ventnor on the Isle of Wight.
She added: "We would like to take this opportunity to thank the media for their help in making appeals for information, which led directly to finding her."
Charlotte, known as Charlie, had vanished from her foster home in Bitterne on May 19 after spending just six days there.
Police launched a high profile search for the youngster amid concerns she had been sleeping rough in Southampton city centre.
Officers had been scouring CCTV footage from cameras around the city and earlier this week were joined by Charlotte's parents Janette, 34, and Mark, 39, in the search.
Charlotte had left her foster home around 7.30pm two weeks ago, saying she was going to visit friends, but never returned.
