THE Milford Shingle bank was in pretty good form when the Lymington club held a recent midweek league fixture where members caught a number of dogfish, black bream, pout, pollack and a number of very small spotted rays.
Best bream of the night fell to Brian Dawkins, pictured left, while Rodney Saunders beached the best pollack. Heaviest fish of the night was a 2lb 1oz doggie bagged by Paul Dibden.
Chris Clark won the event with a trio of doggies and some pouting weighing 4lb 15oz, followed by Bran Dawkins 4lb 5.75oz, Paul Dibden 3lb 11.75oz, Jane Hopkins 2lb 12.50oz, Rodney Saunders 2lb .75oz and Andy Hopkins 2lb 0.25oz.
The all-night Chesil Open has been set for June 29 and 30 at Cogden, with fishing from 8pm to 7am, with the draw getting under way at 6pm.
Tickets for the event, which is also a Penn Points fixture and a SAMF qualifier, have been set at £10 plus £5 pools on the day.

Southcoast Tackle are staging a pegged measure & return open at Hill Head on June 7 with fishing from 8pm to 1am.
Smoothhound are expected to supply some lively action along with a smattering of pouting and the odd ray.
